Membership: The membership committee meets monthly and is responsible for maintaining the health and growth of the chapter. Committee members make an effort to meet and greet newcomers and introduce them at GMSHRM events. Average monthly time commitment is 1-2 hours. Our Membership Director is Ellie Cook-Venezia.

Programming: This committee is responsible for recruiting speakers for our monthly chapter meetings. Topics span both current and forward trending areas critical to all levels of HR professionals and business leaders responsible for HR functional areas. The committee is always looking for new members and suggestions for new topics and speakers. Average monthly time commitment is 1-3 hours. Our Programming Director Ed Coppola.

Certification & Recertification: This committee promotes the benefits of earning the SHRM certification and offers guidance, networking, and resources to prepare for the certification exam. The committee ensures our programs are pre-approved for both SHRM and HRCI recertification credits. Average monthly time commitment is 1-2 hours. Our Certification Director is Kim Brackett.

Sponsorship: This committee fields inquiries and identifies/contacts potential marketing or sponsorship opportunities for Chapter meetings and website advertising. Average monthly time commitment is 1-2 hours. Margie Guhne oversees sponsorship.

SHRM Foundation: This committee is responsible for educating and promoting the purpose of the SHRM Foundation to our membership. It also includes fundraising for the SHRM Foundation. Average monthly time commitment varies by the number of fundraisers we hold. Our Treasurer Sue Ells oversees the chapters efforts with the foundation.

Communication: Donna Whipple manages our website and Twitter account. Tabitha Curry oversees our Facebook and LinkedIn® pages.
